It Doesn't Have To Be This Way

Things are harder than they have ever been. A fraction of the population has put in work for decades to lead us to where we are today. But the thing is, it's only a fraction. The rest of us, the ones who know that things can be better have the real numbers. There are more of us than there are of them and if we don't hold onto that, if we don't keep that idea close to our hearts, we will continue to fall. We will no longer be able to grab onto the rope of true freedom. One that can pull us out of this deplorable pit.

For the past 17 months, we've sat back and watched as people have been kidnapped, people have been murdered, and our rights have been ripped away from us one at a time. We get together for protests once in a while and feel good for a couple of days. But it's not enough.

How many more rights will we allow them to take away before we snap? How many more people will we allow them to kidnap, abuse, and rape? When will we realize that enough is enough and it's time to rise up and take our rights back? Take our country back?

We are the only ones that are going to save us. The administration has decimated every single relationship with our allies. They have written us off as a lost cause and they are not coming to save us. The only people that can save us, is US. We have to put in the hard work. We have to wake up from this nightmare and FIGHT for our country. For our rights. For our freedoms. For our neighbors that have been snatched and hidden away, suffering abuses we've only ever read about in books.

When fiction becomes real, it has to be time to rise up. Every day feels more and more like a page out of Orwell's 1984. A work of fiction that has mirrored real life more times than I can count in the previous 17 months.

We can do this. Together. We stand a chance if we realize the fight we have to put up. Sure, we can wait to see what happens during midterms in November, but that's lost time. The establishment Democrats have done nothing to put a stop to this. They've sat back and twiddled their thumbs. Even sometimes, giving into the demands of the Republicans. They take money from corporations and super PAC's and end up working for them and not for us. We cannot rely on them to save us. We MUST stand together and fight to take our country back.

Do you hear that? It's the call telling you that it's time.
