NYC Wins Again
The progressive (and democratic socialist!) movement is slowly taking hold across the United States. It's a slow growing movement, that I feel is finally beginning to pick up speed. Mamdani winning his Mayoral race in NYC in November was incredible in so many ways and I will admit I cried. I live far away from NYC but still was hooked in watching his race and everything he's accomplished since his inauguration.
It's proving to us that Democrats can actually get things done and the ones saying they can't and that their "hands are tied" clearly don't care enough about We The People to actually try.
Mayor Mamdani has been an incredible influence for the left. He speaks to the people and he does incredibly good things for the citizens of NYC. He is a shining and uplifting star that all progressives can look to and say "Yeah I want more of that."
Mamdani endorsed the three candidates in NYC primaries that all won on Tuesday night further proving that We The People are ready for something different than the republicans and do-nothing-democrats that we've dealt with for far too long.
Darializa Avila Chevalier won the primary for New York's 13th District.
Claire Valdez won the primary for New York's 7th District.
Brad Lander won the primary for New York's 10th District.
Establishment dems are raging against Mamdani now for endorsing candidates they say aren't what is good for the Democratic Party. And to them I say "Good luck in your political futures." Because the democrats that have been in power for years and decades have done nothing but bend over for republicans wants. They haven't helped us in any capacity and in the end, have only hurt us. They are nothing more than center-right and I am choosing to no longer support establishment dems anymore. They have proven to me that they have no backbone.
It's time for change and it's finally taking place.
